"When the music's got a beat, then that's what gets me"

Sri Lankin rapper, M.I.A., is back with her sophomore studio album, Kala. Perhaps because Timbaland, Diplo, and Switch had a hand in its production, Kala has already out shadowed 2005's Arular for me. Here's a few tracks that have stood out so far, and guarantees this disc's rotation on my Itunes for the next few weeks.

Now that I've quit smoking, I have time to blog...

I've decided to join the great unwashed and start a music blog because well, I've quit smoking and really have nothing else to do with this extra time but impose my musical tastes upon you. My body's response to lowered levels of nicotine has been trying at times, but the following are some of the tunes that have helped me make it through. Regardless of your preferred musical style, if one of these tracks doesn't make you shake your booty just a bit, you're either a robot or a zombie. Or a zombie robot.
